Botanical Gardens Birds | Erica Fielder Studio

Installed in the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, this interpretive panel was funded by the Botanical Gardens, Audubon Society, and the Community Foundation of Mendocino County. It illustrates a hairy woodpecker, raven, pygmy nuthatch, Wilson’s warbler, Pacific wren, and varied thrush in typical habitat.

The pastel painting illustrates coastal prairie habitat bird species: white-tailed kite, western meadowlark, American kestrel, northern harrier, white-crowned sparrow, Savannah sparrow.

Bird Illustrations show Acorn woodpecker, California quail, Anna’s hummingbird, Steller’s jay, American goldfinch, and pine siskin on this trailside display. It helps visitors the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens identify common birds in the Perennial Garden.

Hikers will see the pastel bird illustrations on this trailside display in the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens: black phoebe, barn swallow, violet-green swallow, red-winged blackbird, song sparrow, and the American Robin.

The hiking trail along the bluffs at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens takes you to the interpretive panel depicting pastel bird illustrations: pelagic cormorant, osprey, brown pelicans, pigeon guillemot, western gull and a black oystercatcher.
